Fabric Explosion

I sew a lot during the winter. Mostly clothes for my Victorian collection of clothes. This leaves me with several bags of scraps. I divide them up by colors, and put them aside for something. I never know what, but I know they'll come in handy for something. For some reason, I have the Depression Era mentality.
I was going through my fabric stash, and realized I could make a nice blanket as a gift for one of our neighbors. She is older, and is always cold. A nice warm lap quilt should do the trick. The best part of it is, she is my sewing buddy. She has taught me more things about sewing than I could ever learn elsewhere. She went to school for sewing back in the 1920's. Her knowledge is something I cherish.
The scraps are divided, and now I will cut them into squares to make the quilt. I know she will love it.
