Natural Products With Vaseline?

I have said this before, but I will say it again. Every product that says it is all natural, is not always completely natural.
Natural products are NOT created equal.
We are proud to formulate genuinely pure, 100 % all natural and organic products.

There are however, other companies and websites out there that are claiming to be all natural, and clearly aren't when it gets down to ALL the ingredients.

I am always surfing the internet for one thing or another. It bothers me when I come across a site that uses fragrance oils. Fragrance oils are not the least bit natural! Fragrance oils of any kind are chemically produced in a laboratory somewhere. There is no such thing as strawberry or lilac essential oil. If you find those in a "natural product", then the product isn't truly natural.

While doing research and keeping up to date with current herbal information, I an on the internet more often than I would like. Today, I came across a site, that was suppose to be selling a 100 % all natural acne cream. As I was reading down through the list of ingredients, I was horrified to see Vaseline at the bottom of the list. They actually use Vaseline as the base for their acne cream. Does this company actually believe that because crude oil comes from the Earth, that Vaseline is all natural? Vaseline is petroleum. Petroleum does not occur in nature! It is manufactured from crude oil! Do you really want to put that on your skin? Petroleum is not healthy for your skin.

It also gets my goat when people put the ingredients in their botanical name. I happen to know them, but the average person does not. It looks to me that they are trying to make their products look more mysterious than they really are. Example; the herbs apis cera, calendula officinalis, passiflora incarnarta, and rosa damascena. Those are the Latin botanical names for beeswax, calendula, passion flower, and rose. Why not just use the common names along with the Latin names, so people understand what they are putting on their skin?

When you buy from Cloverleaf Farm, you can be assured that all our products are 100% natural and organic!

We don't hide behind Latin, botanical names; we publish all ingredients in English.

We use only 100% pure organic essential oils to scent our products...no fragrance oils ever.

We are proud to be pure!

Winter Wonderland

They are already calling it the Groundhog Day Blizzard. It is a white out of day...outside.
Inside, we are baking bread, and making home made soups. We still have fresh squash and pumpkins in our root cellar, so I decided to make a 3 squash soup for lunch. We eat soup a lot in the winter. We stock up on dried beans and peas in December for all sorts of wonderful bean soups...Five Bean (jacobs cattle, northern, lentil, black eyed, red, and white beans) and Triple Berry(spelt berry, wheat berry, and rye berry) are two of our favorites. Cooked on low in our own home made chicken stock makes a yummy, yummy soup.

Later this afternoon, we will be working on getting orders packaged up. We also have two new products that will be coming out soon. Elderflower Rose Day Cream will be available on Monday, and our 3 C's Herbal Healing Salve will be ready for delivery by the end of the month. Just a couple more weeks of the herbs steeping in the oils.

A Blend of Herbal Oils

Winter is a bit slower here on the farm. Slower is good. Gives us time to develop new herbal healing products.
This winter, we have been working on Herbal Infused Oils. I took the left over dribbles and put them into a bottle. Carrier oils are a bit pricey, and not to be wasted. Here at Cloverleaf Farm, we waste nothing!
This time, we had a bit of Rose and Jasmine Herbal Infused Oil, a tad of Calendula Herbal infused Oil, and just a smidgen of the Lavender Infused oil left over. I put them into a small jar, and Michael has been using it on a rash on his face. Miraculously, the rash seems to be fading. I have been using it on the dry skin on my legs, and it is making them soft and smooth.
Our Herbal Infused Oils are marvellous. Give them a try.
